EOP Red Clay Music Foundry
3116 Main St., Duluth, GA
Venue:
Eddie Owens Presents (EOP) is significant here. Eddie established Eddie’s Attic, a longstanding and popular venue in Decatur, GA and has taken the best of that location and applied it here. Red Clay Music Foundry is a “listening room,” meaning that it’s a place to hear the artist and not the chit chat, laughter and so on that accompanies so many concerts. It’s not that applause is discouraged, but otherwise participation should be responding to the artist’s call for it.
The 260 capacity tells the story of the intimacy of the venue. There’s not a bad seat in the house, literally, as the floor is sloped perfectly for the sightlines.
You want get the flashiest light show, but you’ll be able to see and hear the artist wonderfully.
Parking:
Parking is available on the street or in municipal lots a block to the southwest or at the City Hall. And it’s free.
Restaurants:
You’re in luck. Rarely will you find so many options within an easy walk of the venue.
This is a fertile area for those who enjoy beer. Truck & Tap (various taps plus a rotating food truck) , 6s Brewing and Good Word Brewing (with full food service) are all a very short walk away.
Otherwise, quick, good and affordable eats include PURE Tacqueria, Nacho Daddy, 04W Pizza, Dreamland BBQ, Local on North and Maple Street Biscuit Company. For finer dining interests there is Noona Meat and Seafood, Falling Rabbit, and Resie’s Restaurant.
